1980's Medical Images Earrings

These earrings were all made using my collection of vintage medical photos. The majority of these photos came from Loma Linda University and were collected throughout the 1980's. Photos include many types of microscopic amples such as blood, tumors, lymph fluid, neurons, organ tissues, and more! Many of these photos also include writing in the margins further explaining conditions depicted or cells presented.

In microbiology cells are frequently stained various shades of red, blue and purple using specific dyes to enhance their visibility on camera. Even though each medical image is unique you may expect that they'll arrive in various shades of these colors due to the stain techniques used.

Earrings can come made with silver or gold metal. Earrings can be made in solid color or with the original 1980's Kodak Kodachrome logos visible.

Earrings are made with leverback bases. This is a great option for those who wear standard earrings or those with stretched ears when paired with a pair of tunnels.
