Vole Scapula Bone and Butterfly Wing Choker Necklace

This stylish velvet ribbon and lace choker features a single vole scapula bone preserved in resin and displayed in an elegant black bezel.  Dangling from the bezel is a single butterfly wing with orange and black coloring. This choker is adjustable by using the chain length and has a standard lobster claw clasp. The fabric itself is flexible and flat on the inside to be comfortable for long wear.

This scapula was sourced ethically via owl pellet dissection.

This wing was sourced ethically from a butterfly aviary, which is a farm that carefully breeds and selectively releases butterflies and other pollinators into local ecosystems. Butterflies used in these breeding will pass away naturally and their bodies are collected and sold for fund raising. In addition to growing struggling pollinator populations, these programs also often work in collaboration with farmers to help increase local crop yields!
